Perfect Pairings: Lauren Burkitt

Perfect Pairings is a series where we ask our favorite bloggers to pair their favorite Scotch Naturals polishes with their favorite outfits. Today, Lauren Burkitt of The Fig’s Heart, a beautiful lifestyle blog focused on wellness inside and out, shares with us her favorite holiday looks for the winter season ahead.

The holidays can be crazy. Having a manicure always helps me look and feel put together when my schedule is full. I’ve paired three Winter looks with my favourite shades from Scotch Naturals to help you out for the holidays.

Lauren Burkitt Stone Fence

Stone Fence instantly made me feel like cozying up in all my layers. This gravelly grey polish is chic and cool. I love wearing it with blue and grey monotones. Picture an outdoor ice-rink, twinkling lights, and a mug of hot cocoa. [Cozy winter accessories from Club Monaco.]

Lauren Burkitt Seething Jealousy

Seething Jealousy is a passionate teal green with just enough edge to bring to a holiday dinner party. I’ve paired it with a jewel toned silk blouse and these jet-black gemstone earrings from Loren Hope. Sophisticated, stylish, and bold.

Lauren Burkitt Atholl Brose

Atholl Brose is a timeless classic. This shimmering champagne shade inspired me to put together an all-black New Years Eve look from the 20′s. Tasseled shorts and gold accessories will keep you dancing until midnight! [New Eve looks from Club Monaco.]

Modern Thanksgiving Accents

Modern Thanksgiving accents

Holidays are a great excuse to update traditional decorations with fun and modern accents. A few weeks ago, we started pinning our ideas here and with Thanksgiving a week away, we’ve narrowed down our favorites:

1. One of our team members’ has a mother in law who always brings the leftover appetizers to the dinner table. It’s a great way for those who might have missed them to enjoy in between courses. We also just love the abundance of color at the particular table setting above.

2. The simplicity of a succulent in a gilded vase is just beautiful. The gold adds a little shimmer and will look nice displayed at the table. Plus, succulents last long after Thanksgiving.

3. Any leftover (and untouched) pumpkins will be repurposed into vases for fresh flower arrangements.

4. In the hopes to entertain the kids, we’re covering their table with brown paper that can be colored on. Filling some mason jars with crayons makes for perfect kid friendly centerpieces.

Are you doing any modern accents for Thanksgiving this year?
