It’s summer, ladies. Temperatures are high and if there was ever a time to experiment and have fun with some new hairstyles, this is it.
We asked our fab go-to hair stylist, Trini Fragozo, owner of VOLR Salon what he was anticipating for killer summer looks, and his answer was pretty simple “It’s Come Undone.” It looks like the trend for the hottest days in 2014 are similar to summer itself: laid back, effortless and relaxed.
For shorter hair, Trini loves to keep it simple and feminine, working with layers and a little bit of subtle mess for that effortlessly chic “Yes, I woke up looking this great” look. Longer locks? Head to the beach baby! Go for soft large waves or throw in some natural salt spray and let your hair dry naturally for an authentic sand in your toes look. Pair these looks with a great organic spray tan and super bright nail polishes like Scotch Naturals’ Paisley Martini, Lemon Highlander and Highland Fling to draw attention to your digits.
And ladies, when those days head north of 100 degrees and it’s all you can do to even look in the mirror, a cute topknot, casual chignon or loose French braid will tame those tresses and keep you looking and feeling cool.
Happy summer hair. Cheers.
Perfect Pairings is a series where we ask our favorite fashionistas to pair their favorite polishes with their favorite outfits. With wedding season underway, this week we chat with our design consultant gal pal and soon to be bride, Stephanie Rueda.
Hi Scotch Naturals! My name is Stephanie and I’m a huge fan of Scotch Naturals. As I plan for my upcoming wedding, I’m happy to share some of my dream looks paired with my favorite polishes for each occasion.
A classic white dress for the rehearsal dinner that is sophisticated and I love the idea of spicing it up with Scotch Natural’s Troya for a nice punch of fiery red.
Scotch Naturals Polish: Troya + J.Mendal Dress + Peddi Heels
My dream wedding dress is a bit untraditional and modern with the cut in the front, but the lace and stark white keeps it feeling classic. I want shoes that are timeless looking with a bit of sparkle in the back. To complete the look my nails will be simple and sophisticated so Neat is perfect.
Scotch Naturals Polish: Neat + Rivini Dress + Badgley Mischka Heels
Not ready to give up on my ‘bridal white’ this dress gives me a chance to feel glamorous on our first dinner on the honeymoon as husband and wife. Loch Lomond is always a go to polish color for me and it will go with all my brights I’ll be packing for the Canary Islands.
