For everyday, I love to wear neutral nail polish since it goes with pretty much everything.

I love layering a sweater over a dress in these transition months. Clear nail polish is also a great way to keep your look clean and timeless.

Valentine’s Dinner Date Outfit
Today I styled a girly yet classic dinner date look. For this look grab a basic-cut, bold-in-color dress and basic pumps. Then snazz it up with a bam-wow clutch! As for makeup, if you have a bold colored dress, go with a bold eye and loose waves.

Comfortable Valentine’s Day Outfit
For this look (day 3 of the Valentine’s Day outfit series) I went for a slouchy school girl look. Why? Because I wanted to wear a dress and socks but I wanted to look a bit more casual. For this look throw on a bold dress, some knee highs with kicks or heels, then a slouchy knit sweater. As for HMU, I did basic makeup and a hair bow (now that my hair is finally long enough). Accessories? Rings and delicate bangles. Vuwa la! Feel free to check out Day 1 and Day 2 too.

I’m a girl who loves color, texture, and layers. The more color that I can add to an outfit, the happier I am. And nail polish is the perfect way to add the splash of color (or sparkle) to even the most basic of outfits.
Since this outfit is heavy in texture and details, I thought it would be best to keep the nail polish light and neutral. This color is a fun neutral since it’s shiny. And yes, it’s totally okay to mix a silvery metallic with gold metallics.

Finding an accent color in a patterned shirt is a perfect way to choose your nail polish color, like I did here. The pink flower on the shirt and this nail polish match perfectly and compliment the otherwise cool-toned outfit.

Again, I love picking out one color from a patterned shirt to use as the accent color. This time I chose to accent the purple hue. This outfit is a fun example of how you can mix any an all neutral colors. There’s no need to stick to just brown or just black, especially when a colored patterned shirt pulls it all together.
